Personal Trainer
My journey into fitness and personal training began in high school, when I had the opportunity to take a sports medicine course at a local college. That experience sparked a genuine curiosity about how the human body moves, works, and adapts. I quickly developed a passion for understanding movement and helping people feel stronger and more capable in their bodies. As life progressed, I was able to take that knowledge beyond the classroom and into real-world experiences. I worked in a nursing home, where I learned the importance of patience, compassion, and meeting people where they are. Later, I worked in a physical therapy clinic, gaining an even deeper appreciation for movement, recovery, and the individual challenges people face when working toward better health.
Those experiences shaped the coach I am today. I've learned that fitness isn't just about lifting heavier weights or reaching a certain number on a scale. It's about building confidence, creating sustainable habits, understanding your body, and helping people recognize what they're capable of.
One of the biggest turning points in my life happened when my chronic illness forced me to leave my job. It was a really hard time, and I knew I needed to make a change. I decided to start focusing on my health, and that decision completely changed the direction of my life. I ended up losing over 70 pounds and discovering just how much fitness could change the way I felt and lived.
Fitness has given me so much more than weight loss. I have more energy, more confidence, and most importantly, more good days than bad. My journey taught me that even when life throws something at you that you didn't expect, you can still choose what you do next. That experience is a big part of why I became a personal trainer. I want to help other people find that same strength and realize they're capable of more than they may think.
My purpose as a coach is to help people discover their own strength and realize they are capable of more than they may believe. I want to create a space where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to make sustainable changes- not through perfection, but through consistency, patience, and progress.
I coach because I know what it feels like to face challenges you didn't choose and wonder if things can get better. My own journey showed me that while we can't always control what life puts in front of us, we can choose what we do next.
